[Have a weary-looking Cybil with a Zubat curled up, sleeping, on her shoulder. She looks...slightly miffed but she's keeping her cool and taking a breather in a Pokemon Center.]
Of course the weather starts getting better as soon as I get here. Don't think I want to be caught in the middle of traveling in a storm like that ever again.
I should have payed attention to the weather more carefully before heading out...I'm usually more forward-thinking than this...
[She rubs the back of her neck and shakes her head.]
So, for curiosity's sake [and she motions to the Zubat snoozing on her shoulder] how common are these bats? I caught this one before I headed out, but took shelter in a local cave and, even though I wasn't able to see much, I did catch glimpses of them every five seconds. I wish I was exaggerating.

Guess the random sunshine last weekend gave a lot of people a false impression.

So I've been told. I only thought they came out at night, but they were all over the place in that cave I waited in. But, I guess I should've known...bats back home live in caves, so I shouldn't be surprised these things do too.

[aaaand another sneeze.] Did you come from Cherrygrove? Then you must have been in Dark Cave...yeah, there's plenty of Zubats in there, not to mention those...giant, floating rocks...

[she gives him time to sneeze and explain, and...yeah, she feels sorry for you.]
Geodudes, right? These creatures have the oddest names.

Sniffle sniff. Why does he have to attract colds like a goddamn magnet...] They, do, huh...whoever named them must have had one weird sense of humor.

They must've. But so far, they...fit.
[Geodude did look like a guy made out of rocks, Houndours are...well...dour-looking hounds. And Zubats are. Bats.]

[Oh, geez, here we go with the name...he chuckles a bit, in the kind of way that shows that he's used to it.] H-Ha, ha, well...if it helps me get clients, I really can't complain.
You have to wonder, though...does this mean that whoever named these creatures knew about the animals back on our world?
...or maybe it's the other way around?

It must be sheer coincidence. Though...the idea of someone around here knowing about the animals in our world isn't as far fetched as the other way around, considering something is bringing us over here.
