I guess so... [As much as she dislikes them, Heather can grudgingly admit that they were in a pretty difficult position. Getting dozens upon dozens of people from different dimensions showing up was almost like having visitors from space suddenly landing en masse once a week and no way to stop it or make them go home.] The locals... I'm honestly not sure all of them even know some of us are foreign beyond... particularly clueless tourists, I guess... but word does spread sometimes and some of them have gotten a little wary.
[New Barkers in particular had gotten even more determined to keep their doors shut to the weekly flood of newbies after getting collectively beaten up when one of said newbies went psycho. It had been months ago but memory lasted longer than bruises, apparently.]
And ehh... [She makes a face and a 'so-so' gesture with one hand.] There's been... stuff. [Kidnappings. Disappearances. Not to mention one hell of a 'you're on your own' culture in general... but ...]
[In any case, she brightens up a little despite herself when the topic's shifted, and busies herself shoving the dog's shaggy butt aside so that she can have more of the screen again, although he's still sorta spazzing around to the side.]
Yep, that's him. He's not exactly the brightest crayon in the box. [As was... plainly obvious.]
